About Us
Peace Through Tourism, is a public awareness initiative in partnership with the International Institute of Peace Through Tourism*. We are a collaboration of tourism related companies, community organizations, educational institutions and committed individuals, who are united to promote the 2025 UN International Year of Peace & Trust — and to then carry its resolutions into the future by advancing a shared vision of:
"Making Peace Part of Every Traveler's Journey."
Peace Through Tourism is not a travel company and we don’t create tourism experiences… you do. We are a non political and a no cost initiative, whose sole purpose is to promote more awareness for peace in travel and encourage peace-building concepts as a future part of our Industry’s culture and travel programming. Our the goal is to promote transformative experiences that empower Company’s to evolve into Industry Advocates for Peace and individual travelers to become lifelong Ambassadors for Peace.
While 2025 offers a global spotlight for a Year of Peace, our efforts look to continue forward, to build a foundation that will grow across geographies and generations. *The International Institute for Peace Through Tourism (IIPT) is a not-for-profit global organization, formed in 1986, and dedicated to fostering travel and tourism initiatives that contribute to international understanding, cooperation among nations, an improved quality of environment, cultural enhancement and the preservation of heritage and through these initiatives, helping to bring about a peaceful and sustainable world. Our initiative is in partnership with their work.
