Become an Industry Advocate 4-Peace!

Peace does not just happen…people make peace! And I think you can agree, we all could use more peace in our life, profession and world. We invite you to join our community and take an intentional step forward for Peace Awareness by becoming an Industry Advocate 4-Peace.

Our initiative is non political and participation has no financial investment, no reporting commitments, no extra work what so ever, we simply ask for your support to help create more awareness for Peace through Travel & Tourism.

Once you join our community, we add you to our peace building email list to send you general awareness information and ideas on how to make peacebuilding a part of your business journey. You will quickly see how “Doing Good” can help your organization… “Do Well”!

We hope you join us….Working together, we can help evolve tourism into into a force for understanding and peace!

Below are 3 Basic Areas That Make an Impact:

  • Goal: Promote Peace through Tourism awareness in your organization and traveler promotions.

    Action Steps:

    1. Internally: Use our content & resources to create general talking points to share with your internal team on what Peace Through Tourism is and why it matters.

    2. Externally: Add our “Peace Through Tourism” logo/link to your company website, social media and general marketing to support peace through Tourism/Travel awareness.

    3. Planning Ahead: Discuss with your Team some additional ideas on how to strengthen your Company’s role as a ongoing Peace Advocate.

      Note: We are available to work with you on any/all of these steps. What’s most important is to take this first step.

  • Goal: Take simple steps to connect basic peacebuilding elements (CARE - Curiosity, Acceptance, Respect, Engagement) into your organizational culture, program design, and traveler engagement

    Action Steps:

    1. Awareness: Consider adding Peace as part of your Company Mission, Values and/or Purpose.

    2. Education: Train your staff to understand, seek out and promote peace-building opportunities as part of your customer promotions and trip programing.

    3. Communication: Work with your Program Leaders, Tour Guides and Destination Partners to support adding elements of Peacebuilding (CARE Principles) on tour..

    4. Make Peace Part of the Journey: Operate travel programs that to include elements of peacebuilding.

    Note: We are available to help with any/all of these concepts. There is much opportunity here to be a Peacebuilder through Tourism.

  • Goal: Identify client peacebuilding stories to share. Promote transformational experiences and encourage others to do the same.

    Action Steps:

    1. Encourage: Challenge your staff to collect stories of peacebuilding through travel.

    2. Share: Highlight staff, tour guide, destination partner, program leader and/or traveler’s stories that exemplify Peace Through Tourism.

    3. Connect: Champion your Partnership in Peace through Tourism at Events (trade shows, conferences,
