Peace Through Tourism: A Meaningful Strategy That Inspires Impact and Elevate Your Brand
Peace Through Tourism (PTT) isn’t just a feel-good initiative - it’s a powerful, underutilized strategy for growth. PTT offered a workshop for tour operators and suppliers who were looking for new ways of elevating tour impact, ways to increase tour value and ways to provide a brand differentiating factor - while making the world a better place. The workshop provided a blue print to incorporate peace-building principles into travel business operations, offering strategies to create more profound travel experiences that will appeal to schools, educators, and parents seeking more than just sightseeing for their travelers. The workshop showed ways to deliver more meaningful experiences that inspire young people to become stronger global citizens while keeping brand top-of-mind and top-of-choice.

Global Citizens Challenge - Peace Pass it On
In February, the SYTA Youth Foundation partnered with Your Big Year to host the virtual Global Citizens Challenge.
This event brings together youth from around the globe and challenges them to build positive bridges between diverse cultures while introducing them to new cultures, languages, and friends. This year we had over 350 youth participants from 56 countries! This resulted in over 96 hours of participation, 900+ friendships made and more than 2,500 ideas voiced in the International Hub.
We had an amazing panel of guest speakers from the travel industry that included Anjuli King (Visit Savannah), Beth Beccone (Peak Group Travel), Danielle Christian (Juliette Gordon Low), George Nimmo (Travel Resource Consultants), Heather Thies (Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force), Lee Callicutt (Visit Montgomery), Nick Romeo (Guest Services), and Norm Hull (Peace through Tourism). Join us again in Savannah this August (2025).
